Fished all day, no takers. Up and down little mineral, over to the cross, and down to Highport, nada. Covered quite a bit of water, looking deep, looking shallow, looking for birds or boats, didn't seem to help.  Highlight of the day was the Island burger at Highport.  With all the reports lately, Im sure there was somebody somewhere lightin it up, but it sure wasn't us.  We'll get em next time. Lots to learn.

Thanks for the report anyway.   Might have saved me from getting up and away from the fireplace.  [smile]

not yet.  Thats actually the closer end of the lake for me outta Denton.  I dont get up to Texoma too much so I was just guessing that it was still a little too early for them to be headin west in big numbers, but my strategizin is about as effective as throwin a dart at a map! [confused]

Yep, got home a week ago Sun, 71 and sunshine when we left, got here and it was 23, some change. Looks likely it's going to be good week end to do some dead sticken out west. They have really put, some nice fish up here lately. Mike

I'm with you TeamFalcon on the Island Burger.  Taking the wife and 6 year old for the first time this Saturday and if the fish aren't biting,  the burger and fries will salvage a little bit of the day for them. Supposed to be in the high 50's and sunny which is good for the 6 year old but not so much for the fish.  I live in Denton so Highport is closest ramp-going to try midlake for the most part.  Got my new order of jigheads from Moe's and about every color of fluke you can imagine.

We will be fishing Fri-Sat-Sun just to get out in the decent weather for a change, my phone had been ringing for 2 days with friends wanting to go, I am really looking forward to it, I bet you and I both find them plus I get to try out my new rod and reel again.  Good Luck! ☺
