Headed out around Boy Scout Flats looking for some action.  I didn't go out until later (9:30) as it seems the fish are not surfacing until then.

I hear reports of top water at daylight but at daylight I'm drinking coffee and playing Words with Friends.  šŸ˜‰

I must caught 60 stripers in the 8 to 12" size.  What a blast.  I'm using a new plastic body that I've come across.  I think it's a winner and I might start selling them on the web site.

I kept 10 fish in the 10" range.  Those are the best eating size in my humble opinion.

Went back to the boat slip and cleaned fish.  Sure is nice to be able to clean fish on the dock and not bring 'em home and clean em.  šŸ˜‰

I slabbed a bit but didn't have much luck.  Fish are feeding on shad that are about 1 inch in length.  The body I was using is 3"'

Caught all my fish in 8 to 12 feet of water.

I love to eat the 10 to 12" fish as they are by far the best eating.

New plastic are great, but you know that old classic lures that fish never have seen also work. A Mepps spinner makes a fish attack out of anger. Fish are people too.

Love Mepps spinners.  First lure I ever used when I was a kid and I still use them. I'm 64.

It looks like a dead stick fluke

It's a drop shot rig with a fluke, used for tournament LM bass fishing a lot. use it when you see fish sitting on the bottom with your sonar, I like it because it keeps the lure in the area of the fish and has great action. It works for all species. Google it on youtube to see how to use it.
