Good day on RR. Good buddy Robert, G_man, came and fished with me today. Launched at Jordan at 9 and found fish pretty quickly. We caught several small to decent fish before it slowed on us. Headed out to main lake and to one of my waypoints. Found fish on the bottom so I hit the spot lock and started thumping. We worked them over pretty good. Robert was using a slab and fly and I was dead sticking a 3/4 oz head with a large slab bandit crappie bait and second one tied above it. Both techniques worked good. Thumping the boat bottom kept us in fish all day. We tried crappie on pile for a short time but it was not productive. Finished up the day on sand bass then headed in. Robert took 10 good ones home for the grill. Didn't keep count of fish caught but it was well over a 100 sandies. Had several doubles and Robert had a number of triples on his slab and two fly rig. Mild temperature and low wind made for a great day.

hey Joe. Sure glad we got that trip in before the front hit with cold and wet stuff. Those sandies were really turned on. Haven't been able to get out yet with my visiting buddy from Kansas. He brought his boat but weather has been brutal. He went out with his stepson one day, Fri I think. They fished live shad east of 377 bridge and had no luck at all. Guess the front temporarily killed the bite. He has good electronics and spotlock and saw fish but couldn't get a nibble.
