Pretty windy day for sure but I took off anyway.
Messed around behind the islands and picked up a couple on 1.5 ounce, white Ghost Minnow slabs. Wind started howlings so I headed around OWP into calmer water. Wind was still blowing pretty good even behind shelter. I finally marked a really good school of fish, put the outboard in reverse to hold me in the wind, and turned on the splasher. Steadily caught fish for about an hour before I lost the school. Caught doubles several times when using a teaser hook. Didn't catch anything over 18" but it sure was fun!! I could not get them to hit plastics. I was throwing 4" sassy on 1.5 ounce head to get that lure down into the fish. I'll reel two times and stop. When the lure would fall, I could feel taps but could not hook up. Went back towards Highport and the birds were going nuts in Sand Bass Pass. Got tired of catching 8" fish and went in. Did not catch a sand bass the entire day! __________________ Axman http://www.reaxtionlures.com http://www.facebook.com/reaxtion.lures

Good report Joe. Nothing wrong with good box fish. I'll take them all day long.
