Got caught up on lure making and ventured out. Found some lil smokies in the frig and decided to throw out a couple of jugs while trying out the dead stick bite.
Lots of folks still catching on cohos and sassys but this cooler weather is playing havoc with my shoulders. Threw jugs out between North Island and the Oklahoma bank. When I picked them up, I had 3 nice catfish. 1 blue and 2 channel cats. I did some dead sticking off North Island on the humps in 35 feet of water. Caught one over. Wind was roaring so I went over close to Mother's Cove (Rabbi Cove) and drifted in 30 - 35 fow. It was on. Lots of fish moving through there. They were hitting a darker fluke so I was using a smokin shad and a baby bass color. It was windy for sure. I had my big drift sock out and the wind was still pushing me at 1.1 mph even hiding behind Oil Well Point. 😉 Great day on the water. Well, great 2 hours on the water. __________________ Axman http://www.reaxtionlures.com http://www.facebook.com/reaxtion.lures
