Cold and windy at 6am but G_man and I weren't going back to the house. Managed to catch bait and headed out to treasure. Birds were working the Texas side so we dropped some bait. We picked at them and boxed some nice box fish. The wind kept us close to Highport but it didn't matter. We fished between Treasure and Hog the whole day. Followed the birds and picked at them all morning. Had a lot of fish under us all morning but they were very selective about the size of the bait. I think the front blowing in had them bent out of shape[smile] We caught plenty of good box fish and G_man caught the big fish of the day and he turned her back. Other than being cold and windy we had a great trip.

Sounds like a good trip, anytime you can beat the wind AND catch fish it’s a success !!!
Sometimes the dang wind just takes away all your options, at least any areas holding fish.
Nice screen pic and Nice Fish !!! [smile]

Last Sun. mornin' we Bass fished a little in Highport, and noticed a few birds workin’ the TX bank across from the islands.

It’s good to know there’s some fish moving West, short runs are a good thing in the winter time…brrrr.

Glad ya’ll got out there and had some fun, Good Job !!! [thumb]

Thanks Chris. I thought that was you. Was going to come say hello but didn't want to bother you when you had a crew fishing.

Hey Joe. Thanks a lot for having me on board. As I said it was like having a private guided trip.I now know how much labor is involved in a bait trip. Thanks for a great time on the big lake!
