My good friend Fred andI ventured out from Platter based on some good posts of fish being up on rocks and points. We love to troll crankbaits between Alberta and Washita. We weren.t disappointed. Fish were there and hungry. Pulled KVD 1.5 squarebills in 10 to 25 fow. The catch was good size boxfish. Only managed 1 over. Kept a limit of 10 and released all the rest. Probably caught about 40 total, a good trip by our standards. The water was stained but it didn't seem to matter. It continued to get more muddy as morning progressed. Fishing there the next few days might get a little tough. We called it about noon and left 'em biting.

Im with ya G, I like trolling thundersticks. I'm a big fan of between the point and MacCreek. And this time of year watch for blowups along the way. If some one hooks up we'll stop and everyone else will chunk sassys

hey Suncatcher, thanks for the tip on an area we haven't tried much. Will definitely be on our agenda for next trip. I've been intending to buy some Thundersticks. We saw a lot of fish at 25 fow but were catching the ones suspended in upper 15 fow. Those deeper fish might be bigger and the T-sticks would get there.

Between washita point and Mac Creek there is an old railroad track running E/W that we have downrigged over the years and produced quality fish.
