Both days in rain and wind, Thursday short trip (3hrs) due to wind, water over bow, fish are stacking up good on points and humps, no birds or surface action seen few birds looking was all, mid day best as usual, most all caught on road runners and Little George's white ones, Wed trip about same some on slabs Thursday no slab bite. Wednesday we got 66 1 good striper ----- Thursday 30 all mag sand bass too windy to get where we wanted to fish all caught today out from ramp 22 FOW temp was 70-73 water. Fished way north Wednesday and south Thursday m.ostly due to wind The wind was horrible today Anyone going if you fish all sassy shads you will get much better but few fish, slabs Little George or Road Runner = mag sand bass. Mid day much better. Live bait is doing great on big fish. If weather is nice watch out for trolling people , some have no manners at all. __________________ http://www.mtpocketstackle.com

Thanks for the informative report Larry. You guys make it look easy. I've been hearing and reading about the crazy sand bass action on Lavon lately. I finally played hooky from work and went this morning. I was one of about 6 boats looking for them and never found them. It was off today. Talked to several other anglers who caught 0. I managed two little ones. Russ, I went to Lavon on Friday afternoon. Same result! Marked a bunch but they had lockjaw.

Me and my son went back to Lavon yesterday and fished about 3 hours. Had a blast. I finally found them very shallow on the windy side of a point. I anchored and we caught fish for two hours. We caught about 40-50 and kept 20 nice ones for the freezer. We had so much fun. I'm glad I was finally able to get him on a good bite. Its been a while.
