They were everywhere! Top water , rattle traps, and casting slabs all worked. Mostly dinks but a few fatties were caught. When the sun gets bright in the am just look for the action.
Just head towards the dam and you will be quickly surrounded by a ton of boats. __________________ Don't tell my wife, She thinks I'm working.

Pretty exciting seeing several acres of fish on top. The jumbos are underneath the surfacing fish. I have good luck getting in the middle of a school and dropping a Axman slab down to the fish on my locator.

Here's a tip on RR sandies. When you are in the middle of one of those big surfacing schools drop a blade bait to the bottom and burn it back up through them. Strikes are hard and you will get much bigger fish. I like the 5/8 oz. basspro xps laser blade baits. Chrome/ black back is best color. When doing catch and release I bend the barbs down.
