I go to Port Aransas every year and was thinking of a kayak for fishing the flats and canals in Corpus Christi bay. I do see people doing that from time to time.
Any comments or advice from those of you experienced with this? I know precisely nothing about kayaks, but have fished that area quite a bit.

I have zero experience there in a yak.....but here's my input.
We were down at Port A first of August going out for snapper. All along the road ways and canals you could see a lot of kayaks so there was no secret about where to go. Folks were throwing cohos and spinner baits up in the flats for red fish. Don't know if they were catching but there were so many folks there fishing they musta been. __________________ Axman http://www.reaxtionlures.com http://www.facebook.com/reaxtion.lures

Hi, I don't really have the experience in real fishing neither in kayaking. But, I heard an emerging sport such as
Kayak fishing. Well, if you are interested in Kayak , I heard that you should know first on what location and how you plan to do most of your paddling and fishing. Part from what I've read also is one must be aware of the basic and techniques especially in shallow waters. __________________ Rain06Santiago
