I'm going to be headed down to Texoma next Thursday through Saturday and I was wondering if the birds are working yet. Also I was wondering is top water bite on yet and wondering if stripers were in the shallows. Also what lures are working good right now?

Birds are working pretty much on most flats and points. West of the islands the water is stained, but the islands and east is fairly clear. We had pretty good luck on chug bugs, and zara spooks for top water. But for better fish get under the little ones with a deep diving crankbait, sassy shad, or slab. If the sun is out chrome , or something with a shiny metal fleck works. As far as colors go, anything will work, as long as its chartreuse!

Thanks for the great report! Man I hope it won't be stained by catfish bay area amd Roosevelt bridge area. That is where we will be fishing out of mostly. Have u caught any big ones on spooks or pencil poppers?

A few good ones. Most of the bigger fish we've been catching are on shad, slabs, or deep diving crankbaits. Fish around the bank first thing in the morning, or late in the evening. We've been catching some really nice fish casting crankbaits on wind blown points

AGREE with cranking wind blown points, all day tomorrow with strong sw wind before the front.

Big fish coming early and late on top. Whopper Ploppers and Pencil Poppers. Coming out of Caney and fishing main lake. Should be good everywhere out of the mud.

The big ones and anything white. Never found big fish up top today. Caught bigger fish stabbing 40-50fow off main river channels under small schooling fish. Giant sand bass today on wind blown points. I'm sure someone found the stripers shallow today, just not me.

Fairly new to the site, thought I would contribute. Loaded up on box fish north of railroad bridge Saturday after noon. They really liked a 3" white curly grub. My wife and son had a blast. Trolled because it's safer than letting them cast! Once I get some electronics, I hope to target the larger fish.

What up boys! Had a great weekend of fishing. We did pretty good. They were hitting crank baits reeling them fast. My buddy caught a 7.5 pounder on a jerk bait. I caught a slew of them on a rooster tail with the under spinner and a white swim bait on the rooster tail. We caught a couple on spoons. I am going back in 2 weekends. Nothing on topwater, but hoping that will change soon!!!
