I'm a bit frustrated with the dead sticking......as we all are....

There is a lot of bait in the water for sure but the theory of dead sticking is that when the stripers start running through the bait school, the shad will scatter.  I mean, they don't sit there just waiting to be eaten.

So as the bait fish scatter, your dead stick lure is in the striper's path not moving....just waiting to be eaten.....theoretically......

So what's happening and why ain't we catching fish????

I think the fish might be having a hard time finding the dead stick lure because of lack of contrast so I painted up some black ones.....named 'em Dead Wish Black.  [smile]

I'm gonna try 'em out and let ya know what they do....or don't do.

We did up some black jigs and slabs several trips 3:1 over anything else! Going with black/yellow sassy shads this weel on black heads, the black slabs are a killer lure.
