Same song and dance both days. Good bite early. A steady mixture of stripers and Sand bass while drifting 55 ft of water. The wind picked up on us big time yesterday but we still managed a solid catch while battling the rollers. The day before. We caught fish for a half mile drift. Then picked at them after that. I tried deadsticking both days. But the success was limited. The live stuff is simply catching more for me. We ran juglines both days and had good hauls. The stripers are liking the 24-30 ft range over deeper water. Cats on the downwind side of the river channel (just my preference) I'm off for some festive family time. Then back after it next week. I'm looking forward to some striper trips coming up. Combo trips are fun. But man they're a lot of work. Not to mention it really cuts into my striper fishing time [smile]. Merry Christmas and thanks for reading.
