A week or so ago I got caught in that monsoon out on the lake and got drenched.

The Beast (my tritoon) as a storage compartment in the floor.  It got a good bit of water in it.

When I got home, I opened up all the compartments, washed everything down, and turned on the bilge pump for the floor storage compartment.

Bilge pump did its job and I turned it off.  However, I didn't turn the ignition key all the way to "off".

Launched (attempted) yesterday afternoon to go put jugs out..........no power.

Came home and hooked a good battery up to the spent battery and hooked up a battery charger.

No go..........

Bummer.  So, I'm on the way to buy a battery.......a month's lure profit.  [smile]

You need to carry jumper cables since you have more than 1 battery on boat. That might have got u fishing. Some battery chargers indicate a bad battery it battery is totally drained. U might try putting ur charger to it's lowest setting for a while prior to putting it on high charge.

Now you tell me.  [smile]

I left a good battery hooked to the old one for a day along with a trickle charger on it.  No go.

Went to O'Reilly's and bought a marine battery.  I'm back in business but I do need to get cables.  I have a bait tank battery, a splasher battery, a cranking battery and 2 trolling motor batteries on board.  I'm battery heavy.  [smile]

why couldn't you just hook the battery charger to the low/dead battery and charge it?

I finally broke down and put a 3 bank charger on the tri-toon. Got tired of taking batteries back!

They make some good battery switches. They let u run on Batt 1 or Batt 2 or both. Or completely off. I shut mine off. When not in use. And run it on both. They way both batteries get charged.

A lot of the time, a really low battery needs a little help from a good battery plus the charger.

I had left the charger on the low battery overnight at first and it wouldn't take a charge.

The stand by optional method is to hook a good battery to the bad one and then add the charger.

When that doesn't work........new battery time.  [smile]
