Today was the first time I have fished this year. Not exactly true, went out Wed AM for a boat ride on the lake.[smile] Today Bob Anderson took Randy Wright and I on the river below the Dam. They fished it yesterday during generation and tore them up. 15lb Striper's,yes plural. Today wasn't a copy of yesterday but we did catch a chest full of catfish and striper. Biggest Striper was last fish and caught by yours truly. About 10 lbs. I was letting my 6" gizzard swim close to surface. Man,in that current thought I had a wall hanger.[smile] I noticed a couple of the catfish had marks on their belly like a lamprey eel would leave. Never seen it before.
Oh yeah about the Wed boat ride. Went top water, slabbing, sassy and not a bite. Marked schools of bait with fish feeding in 20-10 ft water. Hope the lake improves soon.

Just talked to my son who went out with two parties out of Soldier Creek today(friday Oct. 9th..Two boats caught only 25 fish between them. Mostly sand bass, 2 channels, and a few Largemouth..Its going to take a long time to repair the damage to the Marina and the Restaurant.
