Fishing has picked up the past two weeks. For the first time since the flood, I'm seeing schools and some halfway consistency in the bite. It is still a day to day thing and some days are still slow but we seem to at least find them now, even if they don't always feed.
Bait remains soooo easy and if I throw more than twice, I complain. (Poor me, right?).
Here are some pics from this past week. Good, solid, fat fish. Just not every day.
All on live bait. Both on anchor and drifting.

I've definitely lost it the last two trips... 2 fish one trip and nothing after 3 hours on the next trip. Called it a day and went in.
This year is going to be one for the record books, that's for sure.

I got a sack of the quarter ounce beetle spins in dark green with black strips , fished weeds , shore lines , stick ups , black bass , small mouths , sandbass , yellow bass loved them . that was Sunday , wind , weather , clouds was just right. Yellow bass are sure pretty .  ran out on the lake looking , found two groups of birds , one group picking up behind a gar , another group of birds picking up around loons.  I have yet to see birds working sandies or stripers .
