Got on the water early and was already fairly breezy.  Saw the boat show between Alberta Creek and Washita Point.  Counted close to 50 boats along the shoreline. It was apparent live bait was the answer which I did not have.  Saw a few folks catching some here or there pulling down riggers/a-ring around 25-30 foot of water.  Even slabbed a bit in school of fish and no hits.  Headed back at 1030 and wind was definitely up.  Now I know why I like to fish during the week [smile]

I'm with ya Tex, slabs didn't work for me either and I had no bait. Seemed like everywhere you saw 6-8 poles off the side of a boat, some of'em would be bent.

I guess that's why all the old timers (except for Ax) and James Allen say "Bait Is King"
