I can't find a shad to save the life of me, I've searched all of highport, the coves to the east and to the west, the river channel, cant find shad anywhere. Just two months ago i could catch all i wanted at any time of the day but now i cant find a one.

Can someone please give me some insiders knowledge on where to catch shad right now? .

Fishing has been tough up to this week . Head west and work the wind blown
shores and points . We caught large fish Tuesday in less than 20 fow but with this cold front not sure
they will stay there . Found no schooling fish and caught fish we didn't mark
so fishing for scattered fish seems to be the thing (or was) . Very few gulls working , some "liar birds"
but they seem to be of little help . Good luck and have fun .

I caught some shad during the day yesterday in the river channel in 65 foot of water, sonar going crazy- it appeared feeding fish closer to the bottom and decided to throw and bam nice threads and gizzards.....

Budward..we marked tons of bait in 25 feet of water out by Shepherd AFB annex.  They were so thick at times we could feel them hitting out dead stick lines....
