I've been reading the forum for sometime now, I found it when I was day dreaming of fishing after having knee surgery last November.
I love Texoma but don't get to go often since it's a good lil drive from Fort Worth.

I finally made it out yesterday, we launched at Soldier Creek at 2pm not by choice..... (But thing after thing happened and we finally left Fort Worth around noon determined).
We weren't marking much and drove around without getting a bite for hours.

We decided to check the jugs before leaving (about 4:45) and picked up a 7-8 pound catfish.
The birds started working soon after (about 5pm) near Soldier Creek.

Finally got ahold of a 30" Striper using a Chartreuse Sassy Shad.
We didn't do the best but had fun with Family. Hopefully we can go back soon and get on the water earlier!
Thanks for all the tips!

You did better than we did this past Saturday...[thumb]

Glad you found a good weather window and went, even if it made for short trip.
I'm sure your gang enjoyed some boat riding and time on the water, beats sittin' in front of the TV.

30 incher is a nice one!!!

Thanks for the Report.
