Wind was stronger than the 11 mph they were reporting.  Found a point and took 24 black bass off it in about 11/2 hours.  Top water ch IMG_8406.JPG  rome was the ticket.  First 5 passes with big motor to fight the wind produced 3 fish every time.  Finally dropped the anchor and wore them out.
My buddy caught the biggest of the day.  IMG_8401.JPG

Sounds like you found a nice school and got'em fired up and eatin' !!!
Sorry to see that hook buried in your buddies "bird" finger.....ouch, that sux.

Were ya'll able to get it out, or did he have to make a trip to the Doc?

I've been fortunate a couple times on my hands where I could push it on through and cut off the barb and back it out.
The "pushing it on through part" is not as easy as you'd think, skin's pretty tough.

I had one buried in the first knuckle of of my left bird finger that had tendon over the barb.
When I'd move my finger my skin would just "bunch up" at that knuckle, it felt stuck in the bone.
I was fishing a small tournament, my buddy and I worked on that forever, but finally got it out.
Placed and won a little money, spent all the winnings on a tetanus shot. [frown]

I've watched the videos on using a Strong line wrapped around the hook, pushing down on the eye/shank and popping it out.
Hope I never have to try that, not even sure that technique would work with one in the end of a finger?

We pulled it out. Once we secured and covered all other hooks I yanked it out. Was a small hook so it came out easy. Funny, I thought about that crazy dude on YouTube that stuck kooks in his arm to show how to remove them.
Lucky it was only in the meat.
He's invested in a nice pair of pliers !
Fish on!
