Got to the lake Saturday afternoon and fished the beach some and rocky points from the bank at sunset with topwater. Lots of little bass chasing shad, deceiving me in the process. No real signs of striper shallow.
Took out the sea Ray Sunday morning before sunrise and tried some topwater and slabs around washita point and Mac creek. No bites. No fish finder on this boat. Saw some people catch some at Mac creek.
Went to sunk rr bridge south of platter only to find a guide boat already on it. Tried slabs and some bobby garland crappie baits, had a bite. Didn't see anyone catch any. Tried for some bass in the submerged brush.
Went back to rocky point around my family,s lake house to try for some bass. Had best fishing trip ever past two Sunday's at joe pool. We found a honey hole and stayed on it for hours just catch bass after bass so thought I'd try for some on texoma. Had two hookups on the points that both jumped and spit out the lures.
Fished again off the rock jetti in front of lake house and pulled 6 bass jigging in the rocks in about 30 minutes. They were holding tight in the rocks, most pretty small.
Tried bass and striper again in the am from the bank off rocky points Monday and not much biting. Lots of small bass and gar. Someone beat me too my jetti spot so no fish.
If you can't find the striper try throwing some small plastic crappie baits into rock cliffs and bolders for some fun.
