Fished a lot this fall just have not posted much, had medical problem which is behind me as of yesterday, all seems ok. I have been going 1-3 trips a week, birds are working somewhere daily, schooling daily if you are the right place (if you find it tell me !) Bigger fish are showing up daily, water was 58 deg dead sticking is starting some yesterday, main bite Friday sassy shads #1---- slabs #2 slabs = smaller   sassy == larger fish. Next week's weather looks great as far as comfort on the lake 2-3 trips planned so far. The ramp at the St Park is good and they moved pier so you can board from it, water is very high, semi clear, very little floaters, when you launch straddle the zebra mussel sign and go for it not any problem at all, very little lake traffic. Most other ramps are not useable due to high water.
Friday results from good fishing friend that knows his stuff: I would have been there if I was not having heart tests, all OK ! PASSED STRESS TEST FINE NO BLOCKAGE AT ALL.

On water by 11am launched ok, worked all the regular spots until 3pm not a hit, no birds or anything, stopped to eat lunch and decided to make 1 more scouting run, so he called me and I told him to try north some which he never goes, just south or the new bridge, well just before 4pm his sonar looked to be malfunctioning as it was marking fish solid, then the water blew up all around him, for 1 hour it was every other cast all schooling hybrids to 10 lb. He had rods with flukes in holder he said dead sticking while casting that bent to the water, had his light line broken several times he limited out with hybrids/stripers, & magnum sand  bass, long day turned out great.
90% caught on chartreuse sassy shads 4" with 1 oz jig heads
9% caught on flukes dead sticking 5" white ice with 1-1/2 oz jig heads
1% caught on slabs
He is re lining reels today with heavier line, braid or heavier mono - barrel swivel with braid - 50# leader this works great with no breakoffs and really saves baits plus you can pull fish in holding the leader easy if needed. On dead stick rod. heavier mono on sassy shads.
The time is here you need to go, some say early, some mid day, and yesterday late.
While you have your health take full advantage of it to the limit, sitting alone in a hospital room you really think what you have to be thankful for and wouldn't you know it was a day they caught them great!
If you like to go as much as I do then just do it, so many don't. If you don't feel like fishing be the capt and net man and help others but go !!!!!!!!!!!

How'd you guys do?  We went down about a week ago with 25 mph winds.  Fishing was not too good.  We'll give it another shot though.

Tuesday 8-Noon and wind got real bad, real bad ! 26'CC was not big enough for a comfortable day.
Fish not bunched up just 1 here and there mid way down dam out 1000 yds was the best we saw, about 20 fish 3-4 nice fish. Water 58 deg.
Not good trip

Wednesday Cedar Creek 8-4pm water perfect slight ripple, fog early and turned off great, fish not bunched up at all and the only ones that were are very small, chartreuse slabs the best by far, about 30 with 4-5 good hybrids, not a good trip. Very little boat traffic, nobody was doing well even the regulars there. Water was 53 and got to 59 deg. New Marina being built across from Log Cabin ramp big one too.
Not good trip
