Maybe? Dead sticking probably. Trolling Capt. Macs & Alabama rigs, not so much!

Didn't you remove your Cajun Red some years back?

After many years on the water, I am convinced that a good fluorocarbon leader is required to catch a lot of fish. I once fished with a guide and he had all green line and was tied between two other boats. The other boats caught a lot of fish, and the green line boat only got 4. Made a believer out of me. I now only use 15# P-Line fluorocarbon for leader, and 20# big game for the main line.

I tie directly to 40lb green 836 braid and still catch fish, I use a 20lb fluorocarbon leader if they are picky or I might have a break off. If you want to see your line, use a yellow braid with a clear fluo leader

Thanks for the inputs.  Yesterday clear line caught 13, green line caught 12.....

However, I think I'll change them all out to clear as the dead sticking season approaches.  Dead sticking is where Thomas Powell proved to me that Cajun Red was not the best line for that technique.

I've read where red is a good color for bass fishing because the bass relates red to crawfish......

I have one customer who uses umbrella rigs and he orders red horseheads.

I am going to try ' deadsticking ' with a wacky rig fluke hooked through the side on a drop shot. Walleye fishermen say it works great.
