Well my 1983 Johnson 75 hp went to the other side.  Coming in from a 2 over day she took her last gasp at 4:30 pm.  She ran perfect until we got to the no wake zone at the ramp.  She got me home!!
Not having enough common sense to know better I decided to preform the autopsy myself.  Looks like i lost part of my top ring on the #1 cylinder.  It's amazing how much damage 1/2'' piece of a piston ring can do to the wall of the cylinder.  After speaking with Larry at Larry's Marine ( Great Guy great work) I've decided to replace her instead of rebuilding.  Sticking with OMC so I don't have to rerun control cables on my center console.  Rumor has it that it's a real bugger.
Any leads would be appreciated.  If I can replace her quickly I'll throw in a fishing trip as a Thank you.  I say quick because when the fish move from our honey hole I'll be lost again. IMG_1637.jpg  IMG_2806.PNG

Your motor sounds great. My only concern is the weight. My boat is a 17 ' center console that came with a 75hp three cylinder at 230 lbs. I think I can go as high as 300ish pounds on the boat. Most of what I've seen is 90 to 115 hp in that range.
Any thoughts or advice is welcome.
Thank you!

Hi Oklakid98,
What year and make is your 145 / 150 motor? Thought I would look up the weight on it. What kind of price do you have on her?
Thanks!
