Just got a text, Ax is the proud owner of another new stent.
Let's keep him lifted with our thoughts and prayers.
Pray for Kathy not to kill him [wink] with motherly concern.

Sure but you'll have to get there before Dennis Curtis or Loco Pescado.  [smile]

Thanks guys.  Yeah, had a stent put in the widow maker......

Just a note to the wise:  Regardless of my BMI....

My blood pressure is 130/74.  My resting heart rate runs between 55 and 65.  I have never had high cholesterol.

Both my Mom and Dad died from cardiac issues so I inherited some of those genes.

I have never had a heart attack.

But....if you ever get light headed, or the room spins, or you feel like your chest is fluttering, get it checked out.  These are symptoms of a major artery going south.

I have 3 stents and all 3 came after experiencing the above symptoms.

Don't be afraid to have those checked out.  You could prevent a major heart attack by doing so.

Thanks for the prayers.  I'm back in the shop today working on a new price list.  I think I'm going to reduce some of my prices to more fall in line with my competitor who sells a lot by volume......we shall see how that goes.

Went to the doctor Tuesday for a follow up.  EKG was bad.  Getting good flow to the lower chamber but EKG still showing premature ventricular contractions.  The cardio guy had told me that he thought there were two issues which are independent of one another.

I've known about my heart block for years but it's never bothered me.  That's when the electrical impulses to the heart are a bit out of sync.

So, it's getting worse.  When I sleep my heart rate falls to 40 or so.

So, starting next Monday I'll have to wear a heart monitor for one month.  Doc says he needs a good bit of data to determine the next step.

I just wish he'd go ahead and install the turbocharger and be done with it.  [smile]

Week 2 of this heart monitor thing is a pain.  Every time it records an "event", I have to call a 1-877 number.  The monitor transmit the recording like a fax does.

Every time I call in, I'm on hold for 20 minutes listening to a recording that says "We will be with you momentarily".  I don't think they know what 'momentarily' means.

Well verdict is in.  I am headed for a pace maker.   Heart monitor I wore for a month went off several times showing a resting pulse rate of 36.  That leads to dizziness etc.  When I get up in a restaurant and stagger a bit, folks think I have a buzz.  [smile]  It's just all the blood rushing to my feet.  [smile]

So, since I had recent heart surgery in February, the doc wants to wait another 4 months before installing hardware.  [smile]  Never ends.

Official diagnosis was bradycardia, premature ventricular contractions, AV1 heart block.

Dang......

Of course, I haven't caught a fish lately that gets my heart rate up.  I guess I should watch more fishing shows.  [smile]
