Took the family to see the spillway and all this evening.  While we were driving over the dam we saw some surface action on the lake.  Just and FYI for anyone that may have a boat and able to get it on the water.

Even if they had the time, I'm sure they don't have the $$$$$.
Their sites are all going to take big bucks to clean up and repair.

I can take a dinghy and pull myself across Cedar Mills Rd, then take the Ferry to my boat, and I just filled it up with gas, but can't go anywhere fast because of floating debris.  None of this happens until the rain stops though.

Action by the dam doesn't sound good. I fished the flood in 1987 all summer below the dam then with all gates wide open and spillway going strong. Millions of Stripers went through the dam. Was great fishing below dam during hot months but takes years to get the numbers of teen fish back in the lake that are there now. I saw fish bellies floating nonstop 24/7. Lots of 10-25 lbers just floating by the boat some dead some stunned. A lot of fish that were caught had huge bloody bruises on them so I know they were from the lake. Anyone netting Striper floating got tickets for netting game fish. Anyone picking up Striper by hand got tickets for noodling game fish. Excellent fishing below dam but use all safety precautions and wear life jacket all the time. I had several boats pass us that just got swamped and had ice chests and other belongings pass us floating by. I hope we don't lose that many Stripers like in the past but it seems set. Hopefully just not as bad. also if you can get on the lake and avoid debris floating or just under the surface you will probably find schooling fish and have them all to yourself. Ive fished for 2-3 hours on fish with no other boats with the fish never going down in these situations.
