Like to make the 4 hour drive to texoma Saturday. Only problem is I cannot find any lead heads for dead sticking. So I guess my second choice would be shad. Can anyone give me some advice on getting shad this time of year. Probably be putting in at soldier creek. Only been to texoma once back in September. Was able to get bait fairly easy. Just never really tried to get bait this time of year. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lucobb- most of the bait shops around Texoma have lead head jigs.
If you can't find any, call my cell 469-426-2304 and I can give you some on Saturday. I will be out launching from Highport around 8:30.
Will be fishing from Soldier creek down to Buncombe.
Usually, Cedar Mills has shad this time of year but that is  along run from Soldier.

Fairly certain Daves on exit 72 off highway 75  in Denison caries them. Lots of good stuff at that store. Its a bait shop/gas station/deli can't miss it.

Thanks guys. Do you think dead sticking is better than live bait right now?

Daves is a good place. Deadsticking and bait will work.

Daves is good, Texoma Tackle is good. Sunshine George, site owner, deserves all the support we can give him. And, if you dont wait til last minute, Ax will ship to your door!
