I got skunked too.  First time in a long time.  Went up North and fished Newberry creek and West of the wells.  Like Polar said, either LOTS of bait or just scattered fish.  I gave it up at 10:30 and headed in rather than go looking elsewhere.  It was too darn cold to not be catching fish.

No fish for me 9-2 Sunday 377 bridge Eastward to the Islands! Tried deadstick and slow roll sassys for a few hours with no takers on the North side! Bank and around Cardinal Cove.

Ditto to the skunk...fished west end of lake around Willis bridge. Marked tons of bait but no bites. Deadsticking casting under birds even tried a slab. Nothing. According to one of the local guides the lake had a big shad kill. Maybe thats what has slowed down the bite???

I would think that would make them hungrier? Perhaps it's the January February lull?
45 deg will definitely stress shad, much lower they will be in trouble.

I fished Sat and Sun.  6 fish Sat and 20 or so Sunday.  All caught  deadsticking near the bridge.

Water temp was showing 42-43 degrees.
