Early am 9hr trip today
It was brutal with the winds, I felt beat to death from the wind.
It took 6 hrs to find the fish something has changed, we marked lots of non biting fish also saw the BEST SONAR SHOT of fish I have ever seen anywhere anytime, dropped slabs in to it and nothing not a hit, finally 3" curly tails and road runners mostly white did it, we left them biting very well, full limit of mag sand basses and stripers and a 38+ lb weighed buffalo on a curly tail grub.

This was the 1st trip in 2 weeks due to wind here, be back next week.

A 1st this trip for me an ice crème bar on the lake, we had a pit stop mid trip to Holiday marina and a friend came back with ice crème bars for all, wonderful treat in the sun yesterday.

A 38lb buffalo?  Wow!  Got any pics of that thang?

Sounds like they threw y'all a curve and y'all hit it out of the park.  Nice going!

That's a cool looking fresh water fish.  I've never seen one that big.

Okay NOW I have another question.   why are there two crankbaits and a sassy shad in the scene here?  What kind of crazy rig you go going there Larry?[confused]

Russ the tail bait was in the fish from past fishermen I guess or got tangled in line somewhere
The other was on the bottom with the grub about 2' above reeled very fast it is our last resort rig I mean last. It usually does produce but a pain to fish.
