Larry, I don't comment as often as I should but I enjoy your reports.
I wish I could make more Tawak Trips, but Texoma works out better for the family side of things.

Tawakoni's a great fishery, but they don't jump in the boat by themselves.
You do a good job of consistantly putting together successful, and fun trips with your friends.

Glad the TPWD & LTSA are keeping up with the Stocking, fishing should remain strong for years to come.
Thanks for posting, sharing your baits and techniques, always a good read.

Let us know how you do on your Freeport Trip.
I fished out of there from '97 to '05.
Bluefin was running trips back then, had a smaller boat similiar to Action Charter's smaller one.
They were located in Surfside then on one of the canals off Pompano Ln. I believe.
Looking at their website they got different boats and moved over not far from where Captain Elliots used to be.

Hope'ya get a good weather window and catch a bunch !!!

Curt thanks, I have fished the Blue Fin since high school when Mr Cundiff had it, the Eliott Cundiff family was friends on my parents, I have had many trips on those boats. It has not changed much other than the zero degree A/C, it is suppose to be 101 here today and if I was fishing the BF would take a jacket for the trip out and back. It is owned now by Ned Barron and wife Natalie they just got another new boat a 34' Contender with 3 Yamaha 250's after Casey Cundiff last year bought a 36' YelloFin with 3 Yamaha 350's.

I have never had a bad trip with them in all these years. last year I got an 83 lb amberjack and I believe I still feel it! which was my largest with them, all thee years later I still have the 'cant wait' feeling to be back on it.

Tawakoni this am is very calm and already warming up for our predicted oven here today, I have a friend doing a striper trip today and will get all the info later all they are going for is larger fish, all lures as always. He said if they get into sand bass they move!

I miss all my trips on Texoma a lot but nobody here wants to go as Tawakoni is good and closer for me. I quit going alone anymore about a year ago so here I am.

Thanks
