I catch stripers by accident but I target (sometimes without a lot of success) black bass.  So I'll
be posting here and hope to see others tell whats working for them.

Never have fished Texoma thru the winter months before now. Some say its a tough bite for blacks and other guys say
its a great time to catch a real trophy.  Looking forward to finding out.

We caught several 3 to 4 pound bass last time out.  Fishing cohos and sassy shads in areas where the water met sand.

We caught stripers in the rocks but not bass there.

I caught 3 Bass to about 4 lb on a sandy point in Mill Creek cut Sunday. Only 1 striper. A little odd, I thought.

Caught one last Friday bank fishing on a worm looking square bill jerk bait around sunset cove. Was around 3-4lbs largemouth in protected water. My sister did fairly well on good old worms and bober. Slow seems to be the name of the game.

Anybody have any success with a drop shot worm or fluke during winter? Winter black bass is always tough for me. When I do catch them they are always largemouth, but they are good size.

Never really liked fishing a drop shot but I know alot of guys who say you can load the boat with it.

Right now the waters still low to mid 50's and most everything should work.  When it gets colder I go with
a jig and pig and a jerkbait.  Gonna try bladebaits this winter just for something new.
