I'm near Highport and need to get a trailer inspection.
Any recommendations nearby or am I going to have to go to Dennison.

I don't think the real weight of boat motor and trailer are over 4500, but the registration shows otherwise.  Someone mentioned getting it weighed, but you would have to get a total weight and then the trailer separate.  If anyone has done this would appreciate any info, vs having to do an inspection every year, I might go through the pain.

but then I would have to live north!! sell my lake house and commute north.

Basically looking for a place for an inspection close to Highport or how to avoid the jackass(s) who make the laws and are too lazy to enforce the laws for the violators, yet push this bullshit down on 600,000 people with trailers to obey.  I always keep my trailer up to legal and probably move it a total of 50 miles a year, yet now I have to trailer it wherever to get the $7.00 sticker.  If I was an inspection place, I'd just as soon urinate on it for $7.00.

Happy fishing

I think you can go to any of the quickly lube places and get it inspected.  There are a couple on Morton Street east of 75.

My tritoon trailer isn't rated high enough to have a sticker.  [smile] [smile] [smile]
