I'm working on a simplified umbrella rig for stripers.  I believe it'll be a good seller.  Tangle free!

A-rigs are castable. I don't consider them umbrella rigs as they can be pretty small.  I have 3 rigged up.....made them last year.....haven't used them yet.....they will wear you out quick if you fish very long.....

Couple of years ago, I started making a dual rig for casting.  It works great.  Uses two lures of your choice, the won't wear ya down as fast.

Got test results back today from one of the field test guys......Axman rig - 29; competitors rig - 19.

Three boats were passing the rigs between 'em.

I can't decided whether to sell these or not.....I've got about as much as I can handle.......then, I would have to research shipping costs etc. 'cause they don't fold up nicely into a box......

I have a couple of tweaks to make.  Then I'll make a decision on them......

I worked 45 hours last week on lures.....

I'm supposed to be retired........  [smile]

If you get busy enough hire a teenager that loves to fish. Someone dependable you could pay part time so you can be on the water doing retirement things.

Russcat.....ya know I've thought of that.....but to be truthful....I'm afraid to.....

I know most teenagers are more careful than I am but the shop is full of hot lead, lead fumes (even though I have ventilation), sharp hooks and heavy containers of lead.......

If a teenager were to get burned by lead or skewered by a hook, I'm afraid I'd get sued.......things ain't like they used to be.......

And I can't afford insurance......even though my State Farm lady would love to hook me up.

I'd ask Loco Pescado to help me but my dog has bitten him 8 times and I'm afraid #9 bite might make him go see a lawyer......

Things just ain't the same as they used to be.....

Ha ha ha.  Yeah, Barky is on a roll.  He scared the fence guy yesterday.  Then, he actually charged the gravel truck driver.

He only barks at you so I should receive some compensation for holding him at bay whey you are here.  [smile]

I've made up a few umbrella rigs.  For what I want to make.....and that I know perform well....I can't enter the market.  A lot of folks are making their own for sure.

I can sell them for $29.95......but that's too much to be much of an impact.....

Lots of hardware, lots of manual labor.....

Revisited the umbrella rig design.  Got the cost down.  [smile]

Simpler design, effective, lots let tangles.
