we need fishing reports from behind the dam so we can kinda see what kind of striper loss we are loosing from the lake. if i get the chance i would like to make it up there to fish and bring back a report. reports and pictures would be interesting right now since SOG hasnt seen a fishing report about lake texoma  in a great while.     hopefully we might get some kinda reports from some fisherman that gets on the water right now or someone that might be fishing behind the dam.

I was there today, saw lots of people fishing, probably 7 or 8 boats, even saw Chris Carey in his boat with his kids. Saw a few small fish caught. My friends dog drug a dead 10lb striper out of the water...hope this isn't an ominous sign of fishing to come. *fingers crossed*

Saw pictures yesterday here in Vegas from a buddy who lives in Denison. They were catching 12 pounders and a 6' paddle fish below the dam. I've seen one 3' paddle fish and they are cool. The 6 footer was awesome looking!

i was at the dam today just looking. about 20 boats just below the dam trying to fight the current and fish. looks like they launched right there on the north side of the river by the dam. a few bank fisherman as well. lots of vehicles. water still pouring over the spillway. what a sight!

pretty sure all you need to fish the river is a Ok liscence. as i recall the water and land underneath it are all in OK. i used to own a ranch 30 miles downstream from the dam. its now underwater.

In reference to the question what license is needed below the dam. If you are on the Texas side from the Power House to Shawnee Creek is Texas and you will need a Tx. license. Past Shawnee Creek both sides are Oklahoma. Check with the Oklahoma Dept of Wildlife for exact details. Takota61

A person must have a valid Texas fishing license to fish from the Texas bank from Denison Dam
to Shawnee Creek (see illustration). An Oklahoma fishing license is required to wade-fish or fish from a boat in these waters. (emphasis added)
