After taking a deadsticking butt whipping the day before . I made sure to have a tank full of good baits. We headed out at 7 a.m. to see if it would make a difference. Boy did it ever. I marked fish identical to the previous day. But the only difference was that I used shad. My group did great. We had a few solid runs of fish. Even a few doubles. Then a steady chisel I'm between. We pulled off of them to run juglines around mid morning. The jugs were hot with at least one blue cat on each one. We released two 25 pounders and kept 17 good eating cats for the table. After that. We went looking around some new water and found a good bunch of stripers in 70 ft of water. It wasn't fast but definitely steady. Our biggest one came from that school. Right at 10 pounds. All in all. An excellent day on the water with great repeat clients. Blues up to 25 pounds. A box full of stripers up to 10 pounds. 10 of them being "overs".

Lots of debris floating around. I would advise against navigating in the dark for a while. Murky water up north. But not too bad from Catfish Bay on South. Fish are liking that 30 ft range over deeper water. And as for me. Live over plastic.
