Seems like most posts lately are from the upper branches. There are good fish in the lower lake too. Tonight's bite turned on strong at 5 pm and was tapering off at 7. I could see splashes from Burns Run to mid-lake at times. Found fish in 15' to 90' water, mosty biting at about 10' on fast retrieves. Slab, rattletrap & redfin all produced. 26 incher is chilling in my fridge.

Thanks for the report.  The lower end of the lake is where I fish the most.  Headed out today after lunch  to be ready for the evening bite.  I will be fly fishing mostly but do have some conventional gear also.  Will post a report tomorrow!!

I fished the lower end of the lake yesterday afternoon starting at 3:00 pm and finished at 7:00 pm. Started around Eisenhower and moved toward the dam and marked a lot of fish in the 40 foot range but most of the fish were holding around the 20 foot mark and there were some large schools of shad in the 20 foot range also.  Tried slabs, deep divers, and umbrella rigs with no luck.  Moved to the west burns run area and caught one good striper and one sand bass. Marked a lot of fish in that area also but only managed the two.  About 6:30 the wind quit and the lake was like glass.  Good day to be out fishing!!!

Fishing has been decent between Mac Creek and Washita Point.  Look for the troughs.
