20 years ago, Ron "Prune Picker" Ludwig started the Six Old Geezers group.  Awesome.

Axe, thanks for posting about the Anniversary. I learned a lot about Texoma striper fishing from the SOG site; especially in the early days when there was more posting. Seems like the LTFF has taken over from this forum, almost to the point of creating a monster. I don’t get to fish often, so I don’t post much. But I do greatly appreciate the time and effort you and the SOG founders put into this site over the years.

I agree totally on the quality of 6OG over the years. Got my boat in 2007 and started learning about stripers. Have learned so much over the years. I,too, would love to see more posts. I try to contribute when I manage to have a good trip.

I read the post many years before I ever posted anything. Sometimes comical, sometimes entertaining, always informative.  My fishing buddies always want to know what SOG is saying.  A big thanks to all that help keep the site up.

Great website and I remember when SOG first started, unbelievable its been 20 years!  In 1999 I moved to the area and always enjoyed the outdoors and fishing/hunting.  The internet was the new craze and I ran a search on Lake Texoma fishing and found SOG.  SOG has come a long way and congrats!

I have been a member for 3 years now. Back in the 60's when there were no Stripers, my dad and I would catch Sand Bass untill our arms got tired.
Golly Whoppers in the late afternoon, minnows under a floating car head light at night, with a Coleman lantern, LMB trollilng Byough Boogies at sunrise and sunset, or sitting in the boat house catching Crappie, Carp, Catfish and Bluegills.
We bought our tackle at Gibsons and Heatley Brothers. Most of our lures were made by Whopper Stopper. Those days, spent with dad, were memory makers! Sammy Brown and his wife were family friends. I was away from Texoma with the US Army for all of the 70's, 80's and 90's. Fishing Texoma has sure changed. Sixoldgeezers has helped me a ton about adjusting to the different fishing methods. The Stripers are an enjoyment when you can find them.
I want to thank all of you that Post, Where, Depth, Size and Color of Lure, Trolling, Casting, or Deadsticking. Back in the 60's the only fishing report you could find was written by Max Eggleston in the Sherman Democrat. Thanks to all of you Guides and others that take the time to post here on SOG we now have a place to find where and how to "Hook Up" with some "Great Fishing" on this beautiful body of water. I Love Texoma, even the days that I get Skunked.
