Easy to combine reports from two days.  [mad]

Fished Monday and Tuesday.  From Mac Creek to Buncombe Creek.

Bait easy but didn't use but maybe 6.

Mostly slabs, sassy shads, crank baits.

Caught 1 striper, 1 catfish, 1 crappie and 1 white bass.

That is all.

Thanks for your report,Ax. Guess I'm a stickler for punishment but I'm going out Sunday. Planning on West Burn's and Tabletop areas. Hope to post but I can guarantee pretty scenery and lots of fresh air.

It will be back for sure.

There are a lot of 4 and 6 inch stripers being caught.  You gotta use small lures to "match the hatch".

In two to three years, those small fish will be good size box fish.

It's tough right now for sure.  I've heard of folks sighting schools of stripers and they pick up a few but the schools move on and are hard to follow.

Plus too, there ARE TONS OF BAIT!!  That certainly hinders both lure and bait fishing.

Cut bait seems to be working better on stripers.

So where did all the big fish go?  I've heard people claim they get swept over the dam with a flood like that but I have a hard time fathoming that.
