Would like to go tomorrow early. After seeing the pics on Facebook not sure you can launch. Maybe just back in on 82 and see how far we get[smile]
Any word on open ramps?
Thanks,
Stumpknocker

Just got Kay on the phone with Eisenhower state park. There are no ramps open at this time with the lake level.
Dang. Even had permission from Mrs.Stumpknocker. Looks like we are going back to Lewisville. At least the Blues have been hungry!
Good luck guys!

Did COE shut down Highport or can you still launch from the parking lot? I heard they were keeping that open until COE said no more.

You might take the trip to Tawakoni.  I hear they are wearing them out on the humps.

Ramps are great especially the St park, fishing has been very good for us, I had 2 trips this week 138 on Monday and a slow one 31 on Friday. Points, humps and structure are holding fish.

A friend called me Friday on the way home and went to the same places we did and really got them late.

The fish and game forecast on KXII looks pretty good now. Too bad it's going to rain and flood all week.  How is Lake Bonham ?

McGee Creek and Hugo are approaching flood levels like us.  I imagine all lakes in area same way

LarryC:  Is the water at Tawakoni muddy? I've always wanted to fish that lake but never did because I was too distracted by Texoma. Now with texoma Muddy to the dam, I need to find a new spot.

I was there yesterday, it is not bad, some wind blown points yes there is some but it sure is not bothering the fish, they moved to deeper water this week so it is not a problem, also there are not many bad things floating in the lake to cause a problem. Mid day till late are by far the best times. Lake humps and points are holding fish. If I can be of any help just let me know. We may go back Wed then to the coast for some good size fish. When this weather finally settles, hold on it should bust wide open.

Based on that I'll go Tuesday or Wednesday. Both days look promising for no rain but there's a chance. I guess I'll need to pick up a Twak map at Academy tomorrow so I can find those humps. I've been wanting to try these new Umbrella rigs I bought. Hopefully there's not too many snags in that lake.

Sure would be nice if Twak is still fishable while Texoma clears up.

You can launch at HighPort but the parking lot is very small and if you go on a week end....good luck.

Most of the week ends the yacht and boat slip renter folks park their cars there and the Highport shuttle boats take them to their slips.  This past Friday afternoon we drove down there and it was a zoo.....folks standing in line for shuttles.  They were loading up generators, water, etc. and carrying out to their boats.

Mill Creek ramp is not "findable" so it's closed.  They just opened up a new restaurant at the fuel dock on 8 May.  You can't get to the fuel dock now except by boat.

They have moved the garbage containers up to the top of the hill so you can't drive down into the parking lot.  Not sure how the guides there are getting customers to their boats.  They may be picking them up at High Port.

Water is almost to the bottom of the 377 bridge......

HWDNP contacted me the other day and asked if I owned a canoe.  [smile]  I don't own any vessel that requires physical work to put it in motion.....  [smile]
