A few buddies and I are planning a trip this weekend. Planning to put in at Highport and fish the islands up to Preston Point. Has anyone ventured out lately that might be able to provide an update on lake conditions? I know it's still over 9 ft high, just curious about the amount of debris in the water and if there is still some top water action or gulls to guide the way. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

We braved the wind today since it is my day off and I feel like if the wind had not been so bad we would have tore them up. Bird's every where just to rough to get to them. Did catch enough for supper tonight. Need a bigger boat.

Water is stained but find the gulls and you will catch the fish . They probably will be in that 14" to 18" but you can catch a limit pretty quick using a day glow sassy . Try fishing under the choolies for larger fish .   Good luck .
