Fished from the north island to bridge view.  Twice....  Hung one nice fish (10+) lbs and he got off.  Birds are not cooperating.  Too pretty of a day.  Little to no wind.  Throwing sassies, and A-rigs.  Deadsticking with 8 poles.....DEAD......

On a positive note...had a nice ham and cheese sandwich on the water....

Bad as I hate to admit, I checked all the way from Highport to Cumberland Cove, to the Dam, and only one fish.   Cancelled my Friday trip, but ventured out yesterday evening, pretty out but no fish.  No birds, marked very little fish, but beautiful days.   I am putting a new plan together this morning, and will let you know if it works.  I still using rigs but fish too deep to troll where I have marked the most fish, so new plan, and as I say will let you know.   I am sure I seen some of you guys out in the last couple days, as although not that many boats out those that are, are working hard... from what I have seen.
I am sure some of the guides are finding them, maybe,  and I dont know, as I work alone, except for my beautiful wife, who usually outfishes me, so I try not to take her anymore than I have to.

I really appreciate you guys having a tough time since I cannot be there myself.  Makes me not feel so bad for missing out.
Kinda made my day.
Forecast is to stay pretty decent all the way through next weekend.  Chance of moisture about Thursday up here, but nothing below freezing and a lot of upper 50s.  Pretty good for January, but at some point we've gotta get some rain.

Ditto! Out at daylight. Fished from Buncombe to the Cross stopping constantly to try different ledges, creeks and main channel. Spotty fish on the graph. Finally caught the one and only fish for the day! A fat 16 lb striper! Otherwise a windy, wet day riding around the lake...

We fished Fri all day from little glasses to buncome went back out by the oil rigs at glasses caught 3 fish right in a row thought things were turning around wrong answer that was it. I noticed to that the catfish seem not to be there either(we had some throw lines out)caught 1 cat. I think the fish are there on bottom. I'm no pro by any mean's but that's how I caught mine they lay on bottom and not show on graph(something to think about). But anyway I'm thankful for the one's I did catch. Me and my son are going to give it a go in the morning(mon).

I was out all day Friday. One 12 pound fish is all. Had only two other bites. No bird action. Very disappointing!

The fishing has been tough the last few days for sure.  We caught two fish in two trips.

Today water was like glass with blue bird skies.  Pretty day but not a day for striper fishing.

It'll get better for sure.  It's got to.  [smile]

Congrats to the folks who managed to catch some Nice One's !!!
Even if they were few and far between....

Appreciate everyone chiming-in...especially when it's tough....
It's easy for a person to think maybe they're the only ones struggling...

Like Ax said, it'll get better....it'll be turned around a full 180 before we know it....[smile]
