Headed out at 11am and was headed around to North Island to meet up with Axman. Didn't make it. Got to Preston Point and the birds were in full force. Put out the socks, turned on the splasher and marked a ton of fish for 2 hours. Kept a 29" 7 pounder and a 31" 10 pounder that were hooked deep. Kept a number of box fish all about 19". Wore them out for 2 hours and started trolling towards the birds at Washita point. Picked up a good 31" 11 pounder and it put up a great fight. Released that one then started Deadsticking again. Got another 31" 11 pounder which put up a very good fight and turned that one loose. Pretty good day when you let 11 pounders go. Not to mention I checked my game cam this morning and a 200" buck showed up. Soooooooooo I guess I'll be hunting a lot this weekend.

You can like my face book page sport fishing texoma and I put a video up today of him. I've named him Double Clutch. Let him go as a 3 year old and he has exploded this year. I think he is about 6 years old now. Have a 135 8 point in there also. Not sure what Double Clutch will score but it will be enough!

Nice report. That's the area I fish, and it's good to hear about the birds too. Sweet.

What a day you had. Judging by your graph I would say you marked 2 tons of fish

Capt Kurt...no problem.  We had left North Island and headed down to Russwood and Big Mineral.  Catch you one day!  [smile]

Great job of catching.  Thanks for keeping me up to speed on where you were.  We were WAY far away.  [smile]

Those birds worked 3 hours and were still working when I left. I'll be back at them this weekend after I hunt of course! [smile] And I can't imagine how many stripers it is to make my graph look like that but as we say in south Texas it was chingles!
