Catching nice box fish then wind shifted north to south and they shut down.
Next day the wind was calm and I was struggling then the wind shifted south to north and the bite was on with the big ones.
Changes in wind direction and the effect on my ability to catch fish has always been confusiing and surly not scientific. The one time that I have found consistently good success is right before a storm comes in and right before you get blown off the lake. Wind forecasts are usually wrong and I have not found a reliable wind forecast site but it it was suggested to me to look up the aviation wind forecast. Will try it.
The best part of fishiing in this lake is never knowing what to expect, but always hoping for the best. Often the day I think will be the best are duds while others are a big surprise. Love the lake and love fishing.
