Well...we took the fish to Texoma Tackle to get it weighed for the lake record program....don't bother going there because they can't do it...I got hold of Matt Mauk and he called Bridge View and they waited for us to get there. .super nice people..very accommodating. ..any way the fish weighed 21.8 pounds..36.25 inches long and 23.25 girth..that will be 5th in the books if no others have been caught lately. .my goal is to get him one big enough so he will smile..

Very nice fish! Pass on the congrats! One thing to consider is a replica mount using only measurements of the fish and photos. Then you can still eat the fish or release the fish.

Yes...but the fish was too stressed to live...we put everything back usually..I hate to see a big fish die...we are on the lake now..just had something on and lost it..we have caught two 6 pound blues..my line was slimy so that's what I had..still have live bait from day 1..

We fished for two days without a bite. So on Sunday I decide to go north when I pass by these guys on a pontoon. One waves me over. I thought he needed help. So I pulll up, he says. Do you have any scales, I have a big fish. I did. It weighed 22 on my cheapo scales. It was a big fish. Anyways, he says, do want some bait.? I said sure we pull along side and started to fish in 80 foot ov water. After about 20 min. Kaboom! I hooked a 16 pounder and handed the rod to my 12 year daughter to fight the fish in. Had a great time the big pond this weekend. Just wanted to thank these two fishermen for giving us some bait. Hope to see you guys again. Keep doing what you are doing!!!

Great catch both on the striper and the cat.  I sure wish the water was that nice back on Saturday.  Those waves were knocking my 9.5 foot kayak around pretty badly.

Big congrats on landing the fish and getting it mounted for your dad!  Not sure how long Terry told you it would be to get the fish back but I know he has been backed up.  I dropped a thirty pounder off there in early March 2014 and was told it would be nine months before the finished product would be ready.

Just got a phone call today (almost 11 months later) that it was ready for pick up.  Haven't seen it yet but know it will be well worth the long wait as they have always done premium work there.

I need to correct my post about catching shad..I talked to a fish biologist and he looked at the pictures and said what I caught were gizzard shad...He wished they were threads..
