Headed down next week and staying in Buncombe. Anyone having any luck fishing west end of the lake? I can usually make it to the islands but I’m in a bass boat so depending on weather conditions long boat rides can be treacherous. If the fish are only biting north then I guess I will load the boat up and use a ramp at that end but would prefer not to if they are biting elsewhere

Tony, I don't know if you want to but if you could trailer over to Alberta Creek the are around there, the RR bridge, and Platter Flats down to Wash. Point have been on fire our last 4 trips.

Some birds worked Cedar Bayou to the Willis Bridge the 1st couple weekends of Nov., but I haven't been over that way since.
I haven't seen much action between the Bridge and Buncombe, and only a little action from Buncombe to Big Min. to Islands.
I think you'd prolly pickup some fish on shallow structure with sassy's close to home as we've caught some Bass fishing with crankbaits.

But, weather permitting I'd run mid-lake, look North Island to Washita Point, or trailer over that way.
There just seem to be more fish and birds mid-lake, but like always they're on the move.
Good Luck and let us know how you do !!!

Last Saturday when wind was howling from south, took new Ranger for a ride. Birds were up in Cardinal Cove, out to both points and about as far as I could see.
