Another good day on the lake. Got out a bit late at 5AM but the shad we’re still fairly easy. Parked in 35’ of water off the main river channel and marked a few fish. Started a bit slow but got in too em good kept the ones that were hooked badly and pulled off of them when we put the last over of our limit in the box. Shad were small but fish loved em. Done by 10. Overs are easy box fish are tough.

Thank you for the report. Are you catching them deeper close to the bottom or higher up the column or a mixed bag? Seeing anyone successfully using topwater before daybreak?

Most are within a few cranks of the bottom. But occasionally I’m getting schools suspended but not real often.
