Last few days have been awesome. Fish start out at 20-30 FOW then move to the deeper water creeks at about 50 FOW. All fish caught between 20-30 ft on minnows. If your not marking a ton of fish and catching move. Lots of boats on the water today and pretty spread out as far as I could see. We started out hiding from the wind then once it settled a bit we moved out to deeper water. Biggest fish was 7lb 8 oz. Six in the boat and we limited out on box and overs. Seems to be the same pattern the last few days. I’m finding that medium minnows are working as good as large. Don’t seem to notice much difference in the size or amount of fish caught between the two. I’ve tried slabs every set but yet to do any good. If your thinking about getting on the water now is the time. Lots of hungry fish.

Boats were strung out from soldier creek to platter flats and south. We marked fish everywhere.

Nice report. We boated 40+ fish and most were overs with a few box fish and a few too small to keep. Caught fish on white sassy’s with white heads but most were caught on solid white slabs. A few on chartreuse/silver slabs. Nothing on topwater. Most fish came out of 20-30’ of water.

Lundster,  how do you fish a sassy shad in 30ft of water?  I would love to catch fish on sassy shad but have trouble keeping them down even with a 2 oz head.
