My grandson, Cody Williams, hit some black ice Thursday.  His car went down into the frozen median, crossed two lanes of oncoming traffic (without hitting anyone), and went down into a ravine.  His car stopped within 50 feet of a 50 foot drop off into a creek.

He cracked 8 vertebrae.  Praise God his spine wasn't severed.  Highway patrol said wrecks like his usually don't come out well.

He's still in the hospital as they are trying to get his pain medications regulated.  He will be in a body brace for months.  Of course, he has to drop out of this semester at college.

I'm sure he'll be ok as long as his Mom doesn't kill him for ringing the service bell too much... πŸ˜‰

I hit some on my gsxr 1000 and slid 1/4 mile, got lucky only a few damaged bike parts. Not a lot of fun. Get well soon.

Thanks.  He's at home recouping.  Wearing a body brace.  No surgery required.

He's running his Mom to death.  πŸ˜‰

I told him to get a little bell.  πŸ˜‰

Feels good to hear your grandson is already recovering! How is he doing now with the braces? I hope the service bell is also doing well. Still praying that he will get better and better every day.
