Went out with longtime fishing pal Fred Henderson this morning. Launched about 8:00 from Highport. Worked our way west to mouth of Big Mineral and found action under the birds. Caught a bunch of big sandies, but not a single striper. All fish caught by casting rattletraps and KVD squarebills and reeling back under the surfacing fish. When that slowed we found some more on north side of Treasure Island. Again, big sandies and no stripers. Lake was calm and very few other boats. Just perfect. Left em' biting about 1:00. Ended with 21 sandies in cooler. Released a lot of legal but small fish. Our best outing on the big lake in a while. Also might mentioned we tried slabbing several times and couldn't buy a bite .

Gman, wife and I were in the tritoon. We went on west from there on north side. Chasing birds. Had enough for neighbor lady to learn how to use electric knife😎

Nice work Robert. Glad you and Fred had a good trip. The sand bass are being a little finicky on the slab at RR too.

Hey there Kahuna. Now that I know what you drive. I'll give you a shout out next time we meet. I've tried the electric knife thing on my wife and she says the handle just doesn't fit her hand. We were in a camo Tracker by the way.
