Fished last Friday, Saturday, Sunday and yesterday. . . . winter pattern is in full effect.  Run and gun. . . if you have structure that you know usually holds fish, don't be afraid to check it three or four times throughout the day.  They might not be eating first thing, but that doesn't mean they won't turn on at some point.   Yesterday we caught a flurry of fish on the 3rd stop on a spot that didn't produce a bite the first two times.

I've been concentrating on rocky banks and open water structure in 10-25fow from The Cross to Eisenhower.  Been catching mostly box fish, but every trip has produced some bigguns from 8-14lb. . . just have to stick with it.  I've been giving a spot 10-20min. . . if no bites or fish, moving on, not trying to force it.

Been throwing chartreuse road runners, paddle tail swim baits, sassy shads, mag flukes. . .never know what they're gonna like, but all of them have been catching fish.

Gotta pay attention . . . been a pretty light bite and some fish have been hitting when you stop the reel. . . . .been trying to keep baits 1-2' off bottom, and have been getting hits when letting baits drop back down during return.

-tight lines.
